Reentry Services

Cornerstone's Reentry Services are a part of the recovery and restorative programs offered to imprisoned offenders as well as returning ex-offenders. Personal transformation requires more than just having one's physical needs met. Attention must be given to a person's "whole" being, including his or her emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical state. It is our belief that any program or service that neglects one's moral and spiritual issues cannot offer long-term hope and life change.

Tarrant County Reentry 1st Stop

In collaboration with Tarrant County, Cornerstone operates the Reentry 1st Stop. Located in the Resource Connection Campus (2300 Circle Drive, Suite 2301), the 1st Stop provides an orientation class, along with one-on-one navigation sessions for individuals with a criminal background. For more information, go to www.tcreentry.org. Additionally, detailed information is recorded and processed by the County to determine rates of recidivism - the number of individuals who return to jail within a year of their release. These researched-based statistics show an average significantly below local and national averages.
